The Concierge is the first tourism campaign our agency created for New Orleans since vaccinations have made travel possible again. Based on the insight that most peoples’ first trip will be back to a place they’ve missed, The Concierge was created to spark nostalgia for New Orleans’ hospitality. The campaign features a series of spots directed by Phillip Youmans and starring Wendell Pierce as The Concierge.
For the design we leaned into the historic charm and hospitality of the city. We created a custom logo type, heraldic mark, and a number of small illustrations which reference New Orleans music, food, wildlife, and more. Helping in develop the graphic identity for the campaign, and hand drew the small custom logomark and font.
This project is a Silver winning project in the Typography Category at the Latin American Design Awards 2022 with an International jury like Guille Vizzari from YaniGuille&Co. (Argentina), Verònica Fuerte from Hey Studio (Barcelona), Nubia Navarro from her own studio Nubikini base on Colombia but her heart from Venezuela, and Lais Ikoma from Polar, Ltda. (Brazil).
